The best way to get to know our college is to meet members of our community! We offer personalized tours for prospective students. Participants will be partnered with one of our current students to explore our buildings, learn about our department, and meet available faculty.
Since tours give insight into how our department functions, they are only offered Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm during the fall and spring semesters. Please give us at least a week's notice so we can prepare for your tour. Our tours last approximately one hour.
Who Will Give Your Tour?
We have a group of current CSM students who will meet with you to provide a tour of our facilities, laboratories, and classrooms. These CSM Student Ambassadors have been selected from all of our majors and programs. Based on your responses to the Tour Request Form, you will be paired with an Ambassador who best suits your area of interest. If you need assistance or would like to ask questions before your tour, please feel free to email our Ambassadors at csmambassadors@dukes.jmu.edu.
Preparing for Your Tour
- Submit a Tour Request at least a week in advance of your visit.
- You'll receive a follow-up email from the CSM Ambassador who will give your tour. If you ever need to reach us, email us at csmambassadors@dukes.jmu.edu.
- On the day of your visit, first stop by Parking Services to register for an electronic Visitor's Pass: you will need to provide your license and vehicle registration This will allow you to park in any commuter or student spot on campus. To visit our building, we recommend you park in Lot C10.
