About Career Opportunities
  • CSM prepares students for a wide spectrum of careers by instilling conceptual foundations, providing numerous opportunities for applying those foundations in both theory and practice, and helping students identify an area of focus based on their career interests. Many of our graduates pursue discipline-focused careers in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, geology, environmental science, physics, astronomy, mathematics, and statistics.
  • Many other students succeed in cross-disciplinarily STEM and STEM-related careers which address real-world challenges through the integration of the science and mathematics disciplines listed above often with computer science, technology, and engineering practices.
  • Lastly and equally as important, students in our secondary science and mathematics teacher preparation programs are dedicated to taking an active role in preparing adolescents to be informed citizens with the scientific literacy and quantitative reasoning skills needed to understand and address societal issues.
