Maurice is a graduate assistant at the Center for Global Engagement, working with the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) team. He joined James Madison University in August 2024, to pursue a Master's in Public Administration. Maurice holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, which he earned in 2022, from Yunnan Technology and Business University in China.
Before joining JMU, Maurice served as the administrative and monitoring officer at Wild Urban International Development Ltd. He also held the position of chief of finance and operations at TekAccess Ltd, overseeing operations in both Shanghai and Kigali. During his studies in China, Maurice was the president of the Rwandan Community in Yunnan Province. Additionally, he served as the head of mobilization for the "Walk to Remember" event 2018, which commemorates the victims of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi and unites young people globally to prevent such atrocities.
With his diverse experiences, Maurice brings a wide range of skills to the ISSS team, contributing to the success and well-being of JMU's international community. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and watching political drama series.
