At the Center for Global Engagement we are dedicated to promoting the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We realize these are big and complex concepts with varying definitions within both local and global contexts. Diversity is at the core of our work. The CGE believes in the power of the other and in welcoming all people, from all cultures to our community, just as we venture to learn from others through the experience of their cultures. This shared experience contributes to a fuller understanding of the world and each other.

The CGE strives to consider all aspects of these important concepts in our student programming, faculty engagement opportunities, collaborations with global partners, and within our office itself. We recognize we have much to learn and to accomplish as we serve our community, and are fully cognizant that we do not have all the answers. We are listening and learning.

Our hope is that this webpage provides our partners – students, faculty, parents, and community members – with information and resources that can help guide diversity-related issues around global education.
