Foundations of Digital Development

Foundations of Digital Development (FDD) is a one-of-a-kind, and first-of-its-kind, opportunity to learn about the basics of software development in an interactive and hands-on environment that fosters creativity, learning, and collaboration.

FDD is uniquely structured to facilitate both classroom-style instruction and practical hands-on-development work to meet any student’s learning needs. It leverages the #1 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, Salesforce, to demonstrate foundational computer science (CS) concepts, and provides students the opportunity to build their technical skillsets through real development experience. FDD covers topics such as data modeling, data security, the Agile Development Methodology, Scrum, and more.

Hosted by Deloitte Consulting in partnership with Salesforce, the course is an official university recognized 3-credit class, that is taught by real-world Deloitte professionals and supported by industry-leading Salesforce practitioners.
