Account Creation & Login

From your computer:

• If you have connectivity:
  • Go to the portal
• If you do not have connectivity:
  • Connect to "MyResNet Start Here" Network
  • You will be directed to the portal linked above

From your mobile device:

1. Scan the QR code on the ResNet posters located in your Residence Hall. This will automatically take you to the portal 
2. Click “Sign in” and enter your JMU e-ID and password
3. From the pop-up alert, copy your personalized Wi-Fi passkey
4. Choose MyResNet-5G from your list of available Wi-Fi networks and enter/paste your passkey

Note: You can log back into the portal and change your password at any time. Click on “show wi-fi password” under the "Add Devices" Tab.

Connect all your Devices

1. Navigate to the wireless settings on each device
2. Connect to MyResNet-5G
3. Enter your Wi-Fi passkey when prompted to connect
4. Enable the “auto-join” feature

Helpful Tips

• MyResNet-5G:
  • Connect to MyResnet-5G for the fastest Wi-Fi connection. This should be your default setting.
• MyResNet Start Here:
  • Forget this network once your account is created and use MyResNet-5G
