MA, Higher Education and Student Development, George Mason University
BA, Communication Sciences and Disorders, James Madison University
A Virginia native, Anna did her undergraduate work at James Madison University and received a BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a Spanish minor. During her time at JMU, she worked as an undergraduate Resident Advisor and Hall Director. Serving in her Residence Life capacities helped her realize her passion for working with students in higher education, which led to her decision to pursue an MA in Higher Education and Student Development at George Mason University. While at George Mason, Anna worked as a Graduate Assistant in two different offices, one working with students who identified as food insecure and the other with the LGBTQ+ Resources Center.
Anna’s professional experience includes serving as the Assistant Director of Diversity, Education & Advocacy at Bridgewater College and later as the Assistant Campus Director with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where her primary function was as an academic advisor for students interested in the field of aeronautics.
In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Roxy and Piper as well as visiting dog-friendly cafes and breweries. She also loves collecting anything relating to Winnie the Pooh and sipping any kind of caffeinated drink.
