  • NACADA: The National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) is an association of professional advisors, counselors, faculty, administrators, and students working to enhance the educational development of students.
  • NACADA Mid-Atlantic Region 2: James Madison University falls within Mid-Atlantic Region 2 of NACADA, which covers Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia.  
  • NACADA Clearinghouse of Academic Advising Resources: The Clearinghouse features articles written by NACADA members addressing more than 250 topics applicable to academic advising. 

On Campus

  • Advising Resource and Collaboration (ARC) Network - Advisor-created and led professional development network committed to building community, sharing resources, and deveoping advising continuity for the benefit of students, advisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Center for Faculty Innovation - CFI provides comprehensive professional development opportunities for JMU instructional faculty at all levels and stages of their careers.
  • Research Support and Teaching - Links to workshops, programs, institutes and online learning through the Libraries.
  • Talent Development Department - Promotes university and individual success through professional and organizational development for AP Faculty, Classified staff and Wage employees.
