Are you interested in proposing a Faculty Communities (FC) as an informal forum for learning and dialogue related to topics proposed by you?
FC encompass a range of configurations and styles of faculty engagement in which faculty empower faculty in extended dialog, inquiry, and discovery around topics of common concern or interest. These communities are faculty driven and meet identified needs of JMU instructional faculty.
Opportunities for Networking and Forming Cross-Disciplinary Connections
These programs are geared to provide JMU faculty with opportunities for networking and forming cross-disciplinary connections related to a topic (or topics) of mutual interest.
The Center for Faculty Innovation can assist with publicizing the faculty community, facilitating registration, and securing meeting space, as needed.
Three to four weeks of lead time is required for the CFI to publicize and coordinate registration for the proposed FC.
