Overview
Welcome home! As Study Abroad alumni, we hope you have returned from one of the most enriching and challenging experiences of your life.
Whether you have been back to the U.S. for one week or one year, by now you have probably noticed things are different. We understand that returning to the U.S. after studying abroad can be difficult. So we've pulled together some resources for study abroad alumni as you ease back into life at home. Learn about tools to help you journey through your return to the U.S. and James Madison University. Stay connected with other study abroad alumni and JMU Global Dukes! Discover how you can work, intern, volunteer, teach or study abroad again. Attend programs at JMU that will help you articulate your study abroad experience on your resume and in an interview. Remember you are a part of a small percentage of college students that took the opportunity to go abroad. This gives you a huge advantage. It is up to you to decide what you are going to do with your advantage.
Take time to equip yourself with the necessary tools to assist your re-entry process. We are here to support you in your journey back from study abroad so reach out to offices at JMU such as the Center for Global Engagement, Career and Academic Planning or the Counseling Center. If you have questions or concerns, please contact our office at studyabroad@jmu.edu or 540-568-4346.
Cheers,
Study Abroad Staff
