European Union Masters in Political Science
Students will be charged for tuition*, room, and program fees for Fall, Spring, and Summer as they earn a masters degree in Political Science. The program cost for 2024-25 will total $38,250 for in-state residents and $39,250 for out-of-state residents. Tuition and fees for the next academic year are established in early spring by the Board of Visitors.
The fees charged to students include:
- Tuition for 33 credit hours.
- Housing for the duration of the program.
- On-site and U.S.-based support services.
- Health insurance for 10 months.
- Fees for permesso di soggiorno (required for residency in Italy and processed by the on-site staff in Florence).
- Academic study tours (e.g., Brussels and Rome).
- Orientation, including intensive Italian language course.
- JMU M.A. degree.
Not included:
- Meals.
- Round-trip airfare from the U.S. to Italy.
- Books.
- Costs for passport and visa processing.
- Personal expenses.
Students admitted will be billed for a non-refundable deposit of $1,750 to hold their space in the program. Deposits are non-refundable, non-transferrable and cannot be deferred to other study abroad programs. The deposit will be a credit toward fall semester fees.
A limited amount of financial aid and scholarships based on merit, need and other criteria are available to JMU students.
