Case Management At A Glance
The Case Managers provide services to students seeking care from the Counseling Center who are assessed as needing additional support due to symptom presentation, lack of resources/means, and elevated risk to themselves or others.
Case Management Services and Appointments
The Case Managers are able to assist students with contacting their insurance provider (if applicable) to determine benefits and eligibility. Case Managers assess the factors (ie. finances, availability, any desired specialty, etc.) that can influence referrals and connection to services, and we are able to tailor referrals to help meet students’ needs.
When appropriate, the Case Managers will coordinate, support, and monitor services for students referred to more intensive or ongoing services at JMU and in the community.

To connect with a Case Manager for the first time, please access the Counseling Center during walk in hours (During the academic year: Monday – Friday, 10am - 3pm). Following your first visit at the CC, you can request to be referred to a Case Manager.
