Geology majors study the earth; focusing on earth materials, internal and external processes, the history of the earth, and the application of geology to environmental and engineering issues. From studying the surface of the earth to exploring natural resources, a study abroad experience can allow students to broaden their worldview by getting out in the field first-hand. Studying Abroad can also be a great time to gain cross-cultural skills by satisfying general education requirements or the elective credits allotted to Geology majors/minors.
See the list of recommended study abroad programs below. Please be aware that for any external or exchange study abroad programs listed, students will need to check with their academic department to see if courses taken while abroad will transfer and fulfill needed requirements.
