Submission Procedure

To submit a protocol, please visit the JMU Cayuse platform.

Important Notes

Please note the following:

  • Protocol registrations should be submitted to the IBC at least 30 days prior to the date approval is needed.
  • The Principal Investigator (PI) must receive formal IBC approval before beginning any research activities.
  • Approved applications are valid for a maximum of three years.
  • The PI will be notified annually through the electronic Research Admnistration (eRA) software system to renew the protocol and confirm the status of the project.
  • If no significant changes have occurred in the protocol, renewal approval may be extended for one year, up to the three-year maximum.
  • Approval will be canceled for projects that have been discontinued.
