Academic Requirements
- To be confirmed to progress to JMU without a separate application, you must:
- Be on track to earn your associate degree prior to your start at JMU
- Earn a 3.0 cumulative grade point average at BRCC
- Be in good academic and social standing
- Students who do not meet the minimum qualifications above can still be considered for admission, but progression to JMU is not guaranteed
Transitioning to JMU
- You will be informed of your progression status at an On-Site Confirmation Event during your final semester at BRCC
- You may need to provide some additional information required of all new students by the JMU Admissions office
- As you transition to JMU, you will be considered a transfer student. You will have an opportunity to work through the One Book onboarding steps and attend Transfer Summer Orientation along with other new transfer students.
- A JMU academic advisor in your major will assist you in building your first semester class schedule at JMU.
