Substance Education Programs

OSARP typically sanctions a substance education program when a student is found responsible for violating the alcohol or drug policies. The program sanctioned is influenced by the violation and also takes into account any needs that are identified during the Case Review. Our goal is that students will gain knowledge to promote better informed decisions about whether to use a substance again, and to provide risk-reduction strategies should they choose to do so.

We offer range of substance education programs, facilitated either by OSARP staff or by staff in Substance Misuse Prevention at UREC (University Recreation). For descriptions of our substance education programs, visit the Student Handbook.
