UREC offers a wide variety of seasonal and specialty trips and events. They range from more introductory level onsite clinics to overnight trips. All experience levels are welcome. To learn more about each type of trip and clinic offered, visit each section below.
Registration for seasonal and specialty trips and events takes place on URECRegister and opens at the beginning of each semester.
Weekday Adventures
Weekday seasonal and specialty trips are short trips during the week to local seasonal adventure destinations. They typically take place in the late afternoon or early evening.
Examples of past trips include:
- Ice Skating at Generations Park
- Ski Spree to Massanutten
- Snow Tubing at Massanutten
Weekend Day Trips
Weekend day seasonal and specialty trips are trips during the weekend to local seasonal adventure destinations. They typically start in the morning and return to UREC in the early afternoon or evening.
Examples of past trips include:

- Whitegrass Cross Country Ski Trip
