Overview

Cloud service in M365 that is for individual storage of public or protected data.  Highly confidential data is prohibited from being stored in or shared from OneDrive.

Students, employees, and affiliates have access to OneDrive and may share documents, files, and/or folders with users inside and outside of the University using the service.  

Who can use this Service?

JMU students, employees, and affiliates.  

How can I get this Service?

Log into Microsoft 365 using your JMU credentials to access OneDrive on the web.  Click the app launcher grid at the left and choose OneDrive.

Alternatively, click the blue cloud icon in your start menu or system tray to open the OneDrive application in Windows or MacOS.

Can I share a document or folder from my OneDrive to an internal user? External user?
Yes. For more information, please reference the JMU Knowledge Base and Search for Answers.

How much data can I store/how much space am I allotted for my files?
Each employee receives 1 TB of individual file storage.  Students and affiliates receive 100 GB of individual file storage.
