Blind Transfer

    • Press the “Flash” button (located on the right side of the keypad)
    • Dial the five digit extension you wish to transfer to
    • Hang-Up

Call Announced Transfer

    • Press the “Flash” button (located on the right side of the keypad)
    • Dial the five digit extension you wish to transfer to
    • Stay on the line to announce the call

How do I Forward my line to another JMU Extension?

All-Call Forwarding (You will not have the option to answer a call)

    • To activate All Calls Forwarding – Lift your handset and dial *7, then the five digit extension you wish to transfer to
    • To Cancel All Calls Forwarding – Lift your handset and dial #7

Busy – Call Forwarding (Incoming calls while your line is in use will go directly to voicemail)

    • To activate Busy Call Forwarding – Lift your handset and dial *4, then the five digit extension you wish to transfer to
    • To Cancel Busy Call Forwarding – Lift your handset and dial #4

No Answer – Call Forwarding (Incoming calls unanswered will to voicemail after 3-5 rings)

How do a set a Call Back? (Rings your phone when the busied line you called has cleared)

  • To activate Call Back when you receive a busy signal press “Flash” *9 buttons, in that order
  • To cancel Call Back, lift the handset and dial #9

How do I set a Bad Call Notification?

  • If a harassing call is received, BEFORE the caller hangs up, press the “Flash” button (pause for one second) then dial *2
  • Hang up and immediately call Campus Police at 8-6911
