Learn how to navigate the Outlook desktop client, compose messages, organize email, manage your calendar, and more. This 3-hour course will provide you with the tools you need to communicate effectively through email and manage your schedule with Outlook's powerful calendar tools. This training is required for AACP modules 5.1 and 5.2. It is also a prerequisite for IT296 Outlook: Advanced.
Email is a huge part of our daily routine. In this 2-hour course, you'll learn how to use advanced Outlook functionality including Quick Parts, conditional formatting and rules. Learn how to complete the basic steps used to process orders through the online procurement tool for Virginia (eVA). This class is taught using the state's new eVA platform, launched November 2022. Everyone who uses eVA needs to take this workshop. This course will cover how to enter orders from different types of vendors and what the best practices are for choosing a vendor in eVA. The Request for eVA Access and the eVA Acceptable Use Acknowledgement Forms must be submitted prior to access being granted.
AiM Work Orders satisfies the training requirement for access to the IS Application. Practice entry of a work order in the AiM system, then use functions in AiM to edit or print a saved customer request, search for an existing request, and create a query for your use. This training satisfies AACP module 5.5 (only one AiM course is required, not both). Prior to attending or at the completion of the 90 minute training, submit your IS Access request (Computing/Forms). Please note that training for Work Orders is separate from Motor Pool.
AiM Motor Pool satisfies the training requirement for access to the IS Application. Practice creation of requests in the AiM system, then use functions in AiM to search for an existing request and to create a query for your use. In the AiM Application you can copy a request done in the past and simply add rates and user defined details. This training satisfies AACP module 5.5 (only one AiM course is required, not both). Prior to attending or at the completion of the 90 minute training, submit your request for access to AiM Motor Pool (training and access request are separate from AiM Work Orders).
